The Chicken's Debut

If there is anyone out there who reads this blog and doesn't know me well yet (I hope there is!), you may not appreciate this post as well as say... my mom would, but I hope you enjoy the pictures none the less :0 I decided to do something funny over the weekend with the love of Rocky's life - his chicken. She is the apple of his eye and even more of a companion to him than I am. He loves her dearly and so I thought I'd take a few portrait shots of her. You may see alot more of her in the days to come because she really was a very good subject. Didn't move at all!!! :) :)

Last week I wrote about my 31st birthday and as a follow up to that post, I wanted to tell you about a very special birthday present I received. My brother and his wonderful wife got me incredible tickets to the Bon Jovi concert TONIGHT in San Jose at the HP Pavilion. Lee and I are leaving this afternoon to fly up there for a fun filled evening of rocking out to my most FAVORITE band EVER. While I'm screaming the words to "Wanted Dead or Alive" I will be remembering an inforgettable Decemeber day in 2004 when I actually was overcome with excitement to the point of being speechless. This is what occured:

That's right - I actually met Jon Bon Jovi in person which at that point in time was the greatest day of my life! Unfortunately, the only thing I could muster the courage to say was "I like your shirt"!! I was a speechless star-struck mess that day, but I couldn't stop smiling. So tonight I will be thinking of that moment and wishing that I could have said more, however, maybe it was even more magical since I didn't!
